Latest Research – Human Studies Underway.
DSM Nutritional Products has committed to a comprehensive R&D program for resVida® to better understand its healthy aging and health benefits for humans. Human studies are being conducted on resVida® by top-tier scientists at top-tier institutions.
Healthy Aging:
- Human Study with Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Sam Klein. This human study of resVida® (75 mg/d for 12 weeks compared to CR and placebo) explores the gene expression in human muscle. For more information: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov.
Cardiovascular Health:
- Human Study with University of South Australia, Professor Peter Howe. This study looks at the impact of resVida® (30 mg/d, 90 mg/d, 270 mg/d or placebo) on blood pressure and flow mediated dilatation (FMD), a key indicator for a healthy cardiovascular system.
Results of this human study will be presented at the 4th International Conference on Polyphenols and Health in Yorkshire, University of Leeds, England (December 7 - 11, 2009) and the NSA Congress (Nutrition Society Australia (December 8 - 11, 2009).
- Additional human studies are planned with leading universities in the United States.
